Instead of just raising ticket prices to match market demand they’re going with an odd “lottery” system that will randomly assign you a price or tell you you’re out of luck and can’t have a ticket. Ugh.

Thought I’d share my project with the world in case other burners want advice. This is reposted from Facebook.

So, there was this screenprinting ink that came with some kit from Michaels. I bought only the ink with one of the 50% off coupons, as it was about $7 for a tiny bottle. I think the key might be the stamp bit. I took a sheet of that “Foamies” junk and cut out the shape, then glued to a stiff board. It’s still not as nice as I would like. I think I’m going to try to get a fabric pen for touchup. Maybe make a second one and use an Exacto knife to cut out the man in the middle of the crab. This one was done by taking a pin and poking holes in the pattern I wanted.

UPDATE:

I bought a couple of fabric pens, which are kinda crap, but they DO work to color in the little man and make him stand out more. If anyone else were to try this, I’d tell them to use a paint brush, as the pens don’t give very nice definition. Also, I’m going to try to be green and use some of Herb’s t-shirts and hit up Yesterday’s Rose for more T’s.

HOW I DID THIS:

UPDATE 8/8

T-shirts were on sale at the thrift store. Only 75 cents a piece!
